Where to find the BGS cert number
On a BGS slab the serial number is at the bottom of the label, next to the barcode. Modern labels also carry a QR code that opens the same record.

What are BGS subgrades?
Beckett grades centering, corners, edges and surface separately (printed on the label) and combines them into the final grade. A BGS 10 with all four subgrades at 10 is the famous Black Label.
